Honduras is a beautiful place to be and a beautiful place to visit. Honduras has 3 major islands Roatan, Utila, and Guanaja these islands are considered to be the largest islands of just many. I find many things interesting about Honduras such as their music, dance, and their food. The topic I have chosen for my research is food, why? Because they have such a wide food industry and almost everything they have is grown and handpicked by themselves. The national dish for Honduras is called Plato Tipico which is also known as a mountain of food. This dish involves beef, plantains, beans, marinated cabbage, fresh cream, and tortillas. Their national dish compared to ours is like comparing a Lamborghini to a Honda simply because the United States uses a hamburger as their national dish. For this research, I plan to dig deeper in order to find out why this is their national dish and also how food became such a big success for these islands.
